It's that time of year to get ready for our annual Futsal League! Below, you'll find everything you need to know about the league—important dates, registration details, and what to expect.


We’re thrilled to host our annual futsal league this January and can’t wait to see you all on the court! This year, we're mixing things up a bit with team registration and creating brackets with only two birth years. We’re excited about the potential for a fun and competitive environment for everyone!


Why Futsal?

Futsal is fantastic for helping players develop quick decision-making skills, helps improve their technique, and builds fitness in a fast-paced, exciting setting. It’s a great opportunity for growth both on and off the ball!


League Dates & Details:


  • Dates: January 6th - February 10th (5 weeks)
  • Play Nights: Possible Monday or Friday
  • Game Times: 4:45-5:30pm, 5:40-6:25pm, 6:35-7:20pm
  • Game Format: 5v5 Coed
  • Game Time: 45 minutes (2x20-minute halves, 5-minute halftime)
  • Location: Manning Middle School or Stevens Elementary School
  • Coaching Format: No designated coach—games will be run by Avalanche staff, including sub rotations and scorekeeping.


Registration Details:


  • Registration Format: Team registration (individual registration is not available this year and teams must be set when registering)
  • Bracket Format: Three Brackets - 2016/2015 Coed, 2014/2013 Coed, 2012/2011 Coed
  • Registration Fee: $400 per team
  • Maximum Roster Size: 10 players
  • Minimum Roster Size: 6 players
  • Maximum Teams per Bracket: 4-5 (first-come, first-served)
  • Guaranteed Games: 5
  • Registration Deadline: December 16th
  • Schedule Posted: December 23rd (you’ll receive an email with schedule info)
  • Schedule Platform: PlayMetrics (link and details will be shared in the December 23rd email)


What to Wear & Bring:


  • Attire: Futsal shoes or tennis shoes, shin guards, team jersey (NO outdoor cleats)
  • What to Bring: Water and a smile 🙂 (Futsal balls will be provided)
  • What to Leave at Home: Food and drinks other than water, pets


Scoring & Winning Your Bracket:


  • Points for a Win: 3
  • Points for a Tie: 1
  • Points for a Loss: 0
  • How to Win Your Bracket: Earn the most points!
  • Tiebreaker: Most goals scored, then fewest goals allowed.
